We are born, we live for a relatively short time, and then: we die.
Yet life, we come to realize, has more to it than just a why
It has its seemingly mysterious wonders, wherefores and hows
Its accomplished pasts, anticipated futures and living nows.
From the past we have (from a heritage of recall)
Man's recent and remote accomplishments -- great and small
Some of which have led to the establishment of good,
Of others, yet, their tragedy remains misunderstood.
Why? Because we so often fail to recall
What it is that causes man and men to fall;
Because, we sometimes forget that all others
Are, in effect, the world over -- our brothers.
And though these others may have complexions of a different hue,
They also have to satisfy their basic needs the same as you.
They, too, have a heritage of an oft-times glorious past,
And they also seek a future with a peace they hope will last.
A peace that will always be -- for man and nations of men -- an ever continuing war
Using the justice, charity, humility and forgiveness of God's Eternal Law.
To lesson and eventually eliminate the ills caused by man
As these have no place in the Wold of Brotherhood for which we seek and plan.
A tomorrow's world in which all who live
Know the meaning of what it is to give,
For to give a helping hand to him who is your neighbor
Is something more than doing him just a needed favor.
It is an expression of the good God's Golden Rule,
Which is your acquired conscience' greatest tool;
For when you contemplate yourself in other peoples' positions,
You can Sometimes better understand their hopes, fears, and ambitions.
It's through contemplation of life and living that you you come to understand
The people of your own and of those foreign to your native land.
The come to realize that the fulfillment of out Creator's Plan
Can more easily come into being when man comprehends Man.
[That is, by man comprehending who and what he he is and of his relationship of accountability to his Creator and to his fellow men].
